Panel of Supervisors of Employees with Disabilities
Disability Employmnet Awareness Month
Join supervisors as they discuss their experiences with employees with disabilities; successes, lessons learned, what they feel they are doing (or did) that worked, and what they are doing (or would do) differently, as well as interaction and communication with co-workers. We encourage all employees and contractors, especially managers and supervisors, to learn about this population of severely underrepresented, yet highly qualified, employees.

"Presentation on Mental Health and Emotional Disabilities"
Disability Employmnet Awareness Month
Sometimes these disabilities are hidden; sometimes we just think they are hidden. Other times it is clear to others that someone has a disability but they are unsure of what to do or say to the person. Regardless, these disabilities are just as severe, and legitimate, as physical disabilities. Learn about these disabilities and their effect on the workplace. Jan Buxton, from the Goddard Employee Assistance Program will lead an interactive discussion about this least understood, but possibly most prevalent, disability in the work place.
*** All managers, employees and staff, civil service as well as contractors, are cordially invited to attend this event. ***
